I'll change it when I can, but my internet access is very limited at the moment.

Getting a good color scheme is difficult. I've been on some forums I likes and some I don't likes, it's all about contrast. The brown seems... a bit dull to mine eyes.

Okay, some notes. First, I personally prefer lighter backgrounds over darker ones. I'm admitedly not an artist so I'm not really the best at picking colors. I've also made links that you haven't clicked on appear a very dark shade of blue so you can tell them apart from normal text, after you've clicked on them they revert to black so they flow more.
If you have a color you would like any particular thing, roughly describe what you want the color to apply to and give me the rgb code for the color (if you don't know the rgb code, it's the numbers for red green and blue that your color creator program says (you can create colors in paintbrush)). Take that info and PM it to me and I'll take the color under consideration.

I recommend that my fellow admins, particularly Psirow who uses his admin powers for good, take a look at the Shadow of the Dragon gaming forum. This is another forum created using proboards. They have logos for new posts, no new posts, hot topic, etc. that are much more interesting than ours. I see under admin functions where we can change these logos, but I am wondering where we can get such graphics or make them. Any suggestions?

I use them for good? This is news to me. Oh well, we can take a look at that too. In all the comics when the average unassuming guy gets the radioactive sludge dumped on him and becomes super, he always says, I must use these powers only for good. To me, you seem to have taken a similar path with your admin status. Okay, the biggest thing you've done is change the forum colors, but if aesthetically pleasing = good, then you are doing good things around here.

Okay, Khyron and I got together and did a massive forum move and several threads are out of chronological order. For the first short while keep an eye out all across the board to see what are actually the most current topic.

Yes, good luck finding your way around. Actually this works out much better in my personal opinion. The categories have been broadened to allow each one to be used more often. Threads may eventually scroll off the page more often, but they'll stay there and move up when they get used obviously. The best part about this is the entire area fits on a single page so you don't really have to surf all the way down to see if theres anything new. Khyron picked the board icons to show if there was something new or not. It's a good thing that it's something different now though, it's much more noticable.

It's my title, but since I can't have it I figured you should get it being the moderator that you are.
As for ways we could drag a few people over here... I'm going to leave that up to the people that have been here a while since I don't want to totally abduct the forum.

Hey. Followed your link from RPG.net.
Colors look fine to me now, though I gather there was a lot of trial and error.
One thing I noticed while registering was that there were only two options for gender. Is that under your control, or is it part of the Pro-Boards support structure? And why does my gender matter anyway? (Well, it matters a lot to me in my actual life, but not so much online.)
Anyway, those are my first thoughts.

I don't know.
When I first set this thing up, nobody asked about my gender. I don't know what changes the proboards forum software might have undergone in the last 13 years, though.
Edit: I tried poking around some of the admin tools and can't find a way to disable gender as a field on member profiles.
