I saw this movie last night.
I have no idea what to say about it, but this:
It is probably a very good movie in terms of being liked by the critics and getting Oscar nominations, but the general audience really doesn't care about that sort of thing.
My favorite sorts of movies are rather action-oriented or else comedies. This was neither, but I left the theater happy.
It makes good use of things like recurring themes and motifs.
Visually it is very interesting.
And it's got Steve Buscemi in it.

What's it about anyway? Can you give me a rough outline of the plot 'cause i'm thinking of seeing it. Is it worth the time?

The basic plot line is about a young man going to talk to his dying father one last time. His father raised him on a series of unlikely stories full of magic but set in the real world. He wants to find out who his father really is and what his father really did.
It's told in a mixture of scenes in the real world and in the father's stories.
It left me a little puzzled at the end, and to be perfectly honest although I can't quite find a problem with it, I still can't say it was the best movie I've ever seen or one of the best of the year or anything like that. Probably because although there were some laughs and some chills and some thrills, it engaged the brain more than the gut.
