I encountered a friend who has experience DM'ing D&D. He had been out of running games for a while, but he's interested in getting back into DM'ing. I'm interested in having my wife and I start, but we are total n00bs.
I mentioned to the friend that I would like to RP a ferret. I do have some idea of how D&D works, even for being a n00b. I'm really excited about the possibilities, and this friend seemed open to seeing how this could be worked out.
A web search got me this link: www.enworld.org/forum/d-d-legacy-discussion/70099-ferret-basic-d-d-class.html posted 25th November 2003, 04:28 AM (A While Ago.....)
I did a search for the poster Khyron1144, which brought me here and appears to be the same person's board. The domain looks a bit old, I thought I'd give things a shot and see how it goes.
Again... I'm a total n00b... I have this link:
www.dandwiki.com/wiki/SRD:Weasel
I have this link searching about character sheet generation:
dnd3rd.sourceforge.net/ and
www.pathguy.com/cg35.htm
I want to take the "Weasel/ Ferret" stats and make a Player Character out of it. The picture in my mind is something like this:
www.shutterstock.com/pic-69757477/stock-photo-mystic-beautiful-girl-with-domestic-ferret-on-her-shoulder.html
Mage tamer walks into a tavern with a ferret riding her shoulder, the characters my wife and I would play.
I need to know what specific considerations I should put into combining the proper D&D "Weasle/ Ferret" stats into a character sheet. I don't think a mage/ tamer will be a big deal, standard fare. I would be the odd-ball.
If this is a great spot to hash this out, great. If there is a better location to ask for help, I would cheerfully accept direction. Ideas on what I ought to get for a starter kit would also be welcome, though I will likely drop by a gamer store later today and annoy them.
Anyway, thank you for your time. Khyron1144 as admin has my valid email, and of course he is welcome to email me directly.
Cheers!
